Description

Nikka is a lovely senior lady on the hunt for her retirement home.  She spent almost all twelve years of her life with the same family, and now finds herself at the shelter, along with her buddy Lucky (be sure to see his Petfinder profile as well).  Nikka is gentle, easy to handle, calm and cooperative.  She can be a bit shy at first, but she quickly warms up and wants to be friends.Nikka's ideal home will have prior dog experience, and be adults only (no children please).  She's good with some other dogs - and although they'll be ok separated, you could consider adopting both her and Lucky too!  She knows 'sit' and 'down', and it's never too late for her to learn more.  Nikka will be happy with leisurely walks and hanging out on the couch with her people, she's a mellow gal.  Although she's currently beautiful, she is recovering from hair loss on her rear end due to allergies - once it all grows back she'll be breathtaking!  She can't wait to meet you!This wonderful dog qualifies for the Senior Citizen Discount program: senior citizens or disabled adults with a 'Gold Card for Healthy Aging', or a 'FLASH' card, issued by the City of Seattle, may adopt an adult dog (at least six years old) at a special price.

There will be no fee for the adoption itself, and the licensing fee will be half-price!.
