Successfully rehomed by North Beach PAWS

Hi, I am Duggy. I am shy and quite timid, but I warm up to people once they gain my trust. Being 7 ½ years old I am picky about the humans and dogs that I spend my time with and would prefer to be an “only dog” in my new family so that all the attention and pampering will be centered on me. I tolerate cats in the house though.

I am enrolled in a socialization and training program at Stafford Creek Corrections Center (SCCC). The dogs in the program live with our trainers 24/7 for ten to twelve weeks, and are showered not only with constant attention, affection, and excellent grooming, but especially with the all important ten weeks of basic obedience training that helps make us very adoptable. When I came into the prison I was matted to the skin and they had to give me a buzz shave. Afterwards I felt just like a freshly shorn spring lamb and I frolicked in glee, kicking up my heels to be rid of that horrible mass of fur.
