Hello, my name is Patsy,

I’m a five year old female Jack Russell Terrier. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owners moved to a property which didn’t allow pets.

I’m a friendly and sweet-natured girl. I get along well with everyone I meet and I’m also good with other dogs. I’m toilet-trained, well-behaved and I know all the usual commands which I respond well to. I’m a sensible and calm dog. I’m not really into toys, I’d much rather be having cuddles! I love going to the park, where I enjoy pottering around and I have a good recall off my lead. It’s not yet known how long I cope being left on my own for so I’m looking for a home where there is somebody around for most of the day.

I’m now looking for a forever home with a person or family who have researched my breed type.Â I’d happily live with a first-time owner providing they are prepared for the commitment involved in caring for a dog. I can live with sensible children from six years of age and upwards providing they are used to being around dogs and I can live with another dog providing they’ll give me my space to settle in. I can also live with dog-confident cat. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. If youâ€™re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on a ten year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
