Hello, my name is Fidi,

I’m a fourteen year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier Crossbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew due to my owner’s ill health.

I’m a very friendly and sensible girl and I get along well with everyone I meet. I’m super affectionate and I love cuddling up close for love and attention. I’m also well-behaved, toilet-trained, I know all the usual commands which I respond well to and I can be left home alone without any problems. I enjoy travelling in the car and I’m also happy to travel on public transport. I love going to the park where I enjoying running around but I never wander far and get along well with other dogs I meet out and about. I also love my toys which I like to play with on my own.

I’m now looking for a forever home with a person or family who have owned dogs before and have researched my breed type. I can live with sensible teenagers but I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. I’d happily live with full-time workers providing I’m not left home alone for longer than four to five hours without a break, either by coming home to me at lunch-time or hiring a dog walker. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. If you’re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and commitment involved in caring for a dog, which must not be taken lightly.
