Description

Hello, my name is Fella,

I’m an eight year old male Yorkshire Terrier. I arrived at The Mayhew after my owner died.

I’m a friendly, calm and affectionate boy. I get along very well with everyone I meet and I’m always happy to get cuddles. I’ll play with toys if encouraged but I’d much rather climb up onto someone’s lap and be showered with love and attention. I’m a real people-dog and I don’t like being left alone for long periods. I love going to the park and I get along well with other dogs I meet out and about but I will tell them off if they harass me. 

I’m now looking for a forever home with a person or family who have owned dogs before and have researched my breed type. I’ll need a home where there is somebody at home for most of the day and I’ll need to live in either a house or a ground floor flat with direct access to a garden. I can live with sensible children from twelve years of age but I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. If you’re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on a seven year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
