DAWN / Border Collie / Female / 5 to 7 Years / Rehoming Centre: Loughborough

Dawn resembles a very typical collie, she has beautiful markings, a keen eye, great stalking ability and she has her manic moments where she wants to play and cuddle all at the same time.

Dawn does need to live in an adult only environment preferrably with owners who have experience of the Collie breed. A lot of behaviours Dawn displays are breed traits so people who know the breed will be used to this and working with it. Dawn does chase shadows and she can become fixated and tire herself, here at the centre we are working with Dawn to keep her focus on more positive interactions with people and toys. Therefore new owners will need to meet with us to see how we are progressing with this and to run through why encouraging it further isn't the right thing for Dawn. Dawn is great off the lead and good with other dogs however it may be easier if Dawn was the only pet. She could however live with a compatible male dog.

Please don't be fooled by her age, Dawn is still very much a spring chicken and will keep going and going - the question is, can YOU keep up with her? She finds life in kennels really hard and being such a sweet and gentle-natured girl, we are really hoping she finds her forever home soon!
