Meet Chooey, an adorable Shih-Tzu x Cairn terrier.

This happy chap is full of character and loves nothing more than long countryside walks. After a busy day, he likes to curl up with his favourite human companions for a cuddle and a snooze.

Chooey is sociable with other dogs and could potentially live with a suitably matched dog, pending introductions here at the centre. He can however, become over excited when seeing other dogs out and about, so would need owners who are happy to continue his training.

Chooey has lived with children before and could do so again pending successful meets. He would be best suited to a home with older children who can be involved with his care and training. Due to his breed traits and history of chasing, Chooey cannot live with cats or other small animals.

We'd love for you to come and see us. Visitors are welcome to walk around the equine walkway, cattery and small animal section. However, we operate restricted viewing of the dogs to minimise their stress levels.

PLEASE NOTE:
We may have a few dogs on the Burford site with kennel cough at the moment. Therefore owners of existing dogs wishing to adopt another dog are advised to contact the small animal department and speak to a member of staff who can advise on our procedures before visiting to see individual dogs.
