7 Pups Of Dixie
Description
Location: Moses Lake, Washington These seven puppies came into rescue with their mother, Dixie, who appears to be a purebred smooth-coated Border Collie. Unlike their mother, all the puppies are almost totally black and impossible to tell apart. Typical of the Border Collie, all these puppies are fairly high-drive, athletic, energetic and very intelligent. When all of them are together they get into all sorts of mischief. All the puppies are very active and healthy, current on vaccinations, and will turn 8 weeks old on March 22nd -- available for their new homes on March 29th. The puppies have been raised indoors with access to a large outdoor deck. They are very people-oriented, socialized, and enjoy human interaction & attention. They love their toys and play for hours, entertaining themselves. We are working on housebreaking but due to their youth, they are currently paper trained. Adopters will need to follow up with housebreaking training. There are four males and three females -- Until named by their adopters, the puppies will be known as: D-M 1,2,3 and 4...
and D-F 1,2 and 3. A photo of Dixie, the puppies' mother, is included in this post. She is smooth coat and we assume the puppies will grow to have fur like hers when adults. Puppies are a 15 year committment and will require ongoing training, time and attention. Pups do not have personalities developed so will NOT be adopted to people living in apartments or town houses. Safely enclosed fenced yard will be required - no underground fencing will be considered. These puppies will not be adopted where they will be left all alone for long periods of time as they need access to relieve themselves to avoid damage to their developing kidneys. The Pups are sponsored by SPDR and available for a requested $150 adoption donation. There is also a refundable spay/neuter deposit of $100 required (returned when proof of spay/neuter is provided).
